Hiking

What does a mama do when she has a 13 month old, 12 kg little one, and 3 dogs to walk?  That's right- that hiking backpack was actually a really good investment!  Monkey loves going in there.  To him, it's an extended piggyback ride and he gets to go up into the "jungle" and see all sorts of fun stuff.  Monkey actually points to his backpack and calls it a "car", hoping that he'll get to go in it.  Of course, the dogs all start getting excited too and jump up and down, adding to the fun.

I've discovered a trail that leads off Wong Nai Chung Gap trail, uphill through the trees, past an old temple and what must be abandoned wartime structures, through tunnels of bamboo, and finally out to the grassy top of a reservoir.  The dogs always have a great time chasing each other around up there, and we have the chance to have a look out over the Hong Kong skyline.  The skies were clear today- it's Chinese New Year and it's amazing how the pollution goes away when the factories on the Mainland are shut!
