Tractors

We brought Monkey to the Club today.  He sat nicely and quietly in the car in the drive up (a real first for him) and napped while we rode (our helper looked after him).  After washing the horses down, we went for brunch, a real treat.  When one has a small baby, little things can make so much difference.  I'm just so glad that he can eat our food (sort of) and we don't have to pack baby food for him any more.  He had scrambled eggs on toast, parts of a hash brown, a taste of fried tomato, a taste of fried egg, jammy toast and 3/4 a banana.  Oh yes, washed down with lots and lots of milk tea.  The brewed, Dai Pai Tong type that's really strong and that most westerners in Hong Kong dislike.

Don't ask me why, he's not a real fan of water, but will always ask for milk tea.

There's a well equipped playroom at the club, but what he found first, he liked better.  He could have spent all day playing in the tractors used for harrowing the paddock.

He liked the scooters too and even got a ride on the back of a golf cart, but the tractors were a real favourite.

I'm glad the first year is behind us, that we have more time between feeds, that he is not so dependent on milk feeds, that he likes trying new foods.  He's pretty easy to amuse too- find a motorbike, bicycle or tractor, and that's you sorted for about half an hour.
