Remember the Christmas log cake? The one made without flour, totally from chocolate? DH had made two, one of which wasn't as successful. So the reject got resurrected as part of a Tiramisu to take to a BBQ. One layer of ladyfinger biscuits, one layer of cake, another layer of biscuits. He made a filling (in the absence of masala wine) out of 50% coffee liquer, rum and brandy, 50% coffee. This coated the biscuits and also went into the mascapone mix. The leftover chocolate filling for the log cake also went in there.
To top it off, the dessert was dusted with cocoa powder. DH made a star stencil, and, just before we left, the star was dusted on with glucose powder.
There was a big tub, but it went pretty quickly!
