Cheeky Monkey loved his Panda Junction class- there's a big activity room filled with slides, balls of all sizes and colours, a Bouncy Castle, tunnels and all sorts of fun things for babies. His eyes were out on stalks when he entered the room and at first, he kept shuttling between the ball pool and a sort of climbing thing where someone had placed little plastic fish. Back and forth, back and forth, until he discovered the trampoline and the ball slide as well. There was a swing too, which he LOVES.
The second half of the class comprises of more structured activities in another room. For example, the babies were given a balloon and had to rub it, or hold the tail and wave it about....all the other little babies were nicely sitting on their mats with their parents or helpers doing the activities. Little CM caught sight of the large windows and was off like a shot, trying to catch a glimpse of the cars 20 floors below. Every time I'd catch him and put him back on the mat, he'd wriggle free and head off to the window again.
He participated in about none of the activities: either the windows were just too fascinating, or he got curious about the other babies and would zip over to say hi and try to steal their stuff. Sigh. Looking ahead a few years, I see lots of time in detention.
